{"id":227,"date":"2014-09-04T13:22:30","date_gmt":"2014-09-04T20:22:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tillmansmiles.com\/blog\/?p=227"},"modified":"2016-06-09T19:45:36","modified_gmt":"2016-06-09T19:45:36","slug":"warning-signs-of-impacted-wisdom-teeth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tillmansmiles.com\/blog\/2014\/09\/04\/warning-signs-of-impacted-wisdom-teeth\/","title":{"rendered":"Warning Signs of Impacted Wisdom Teeth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"center\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-240\" title=\"impacted\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tillmansmiles.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/impacted2-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"156\" height=\"152\" \/><\/a>Warning Signs of Impacted Wisdom Teeth<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wisdom teeth, or third molars, are the last teeth to develop and appear in your mouth. \u00a0They typically come in between the ages of 17 and 25, a time of life that has been called the &#8220;Age of Wisdom.&#8221;\u00a0 \u00a0These teeth can often grow in crooked, sideways, or otherwise misaligned.\u00a0 As they grow in, they can push on other teeth, causing problems of overcrowding.<\/p>\n<p>When wisdom teeth come in, they can be painful.\u00a0 You&#8217;ll feel wisdom teeth pain at the back of your mouth, behind your molars.\u00a0 If you look into a mirror, you may even notice that your wisdom teeth have begun to poke through your gums.\u00a0 The area might also be red, enflamed and tender to the touch.\u00a0 However some people don\u2019t have any visible symptoms of wisdom teeth pain.<\/p>\n<p>When a tooth doesn&#8217;t fully grow in, it&#8217;s called &#8220;impacted&#8221;\u2013usually unable to break through the gums because there isn&#8217;t enough room. \u00a0About 90% of people have at least one impacted wisdom tooth.<\/p>\n<p>An impacted wisdom tooth can damage neighboring teeth or become infected.
